Our vocational job skills training programs offer the opportunity to establish a work history, develop soft skills, and build references.
Ranging from roles in the Jesus Center kitchen, working on a landscaping crew, being a part of the Bloomin’ Hope Flower Cart, or working at the Jesus Center Farm, our guests are investing in their own futures.
We are encouraged by the growing number of guests that are applying to our internship program that offers placement at either Bloomin’ Hope Flower Cart or the Jesus Center Farm. Our internship program is also intended to be a place of growth for our guests, a place where they can build their sense of dignity through work.
During a recent revision of the internship program we introduced life skills classes, weekly 1-on-1 meetings with program managers, spiritual enrichment, and supportive services through a case worker or social worker at the Jesus Center. We believe that our guests’ experience is greatly improved from the layering of supportive services, and builds a stronger foundation for the next step in their lives.
