Harvesting Hope
PRODUCE SUBSCRIPTION AT THE JESUS CENTER FARM
Located at 2819 Hegan Lane, Harvesting Hope Produce Subscription and the Jesus Center Farm is a one-of-a-kind Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) that is about more than just growing crops—it’s about harvesting hope—providing participants healing, practical skills, and so much more.
JESUS CENTER FARM
In 2012, we were excited to receive land that was near the Jesus Center, and in the spring of 2013, produced its first crop of fruits and vegetables. As with most community projects, the Jesus Center Farm is a product of many organizations and individuals that believe in the work that the Jesus Center does for our homeless population.
Since it’s procured growth, the Jesus Center Farm has moved to Hegan Lane with visions of expansion. We are building close relationships with those in our community every day. We are proud to be in partnership of a crops project with St. John’s Episcopal Church to provide produce at their campus.
Without the generous land donation from The Growden Family, and the hands, hearts and prayers of many others, the farm would have remained a concept, instead of a fruitful reality! In 2019 we were blessed to relocate our farm to Hegan Lane which allowed for us to expand our cultivation process and bring more participants out to experience God’s love through horticulture therapy.
What is a CSA?
A CSA is a network of community members that pledge support to a local farmer and their production. It is an opportunity to eat seasonally, more sustainably and locally. Think of a magazine subscription, but instead the delivery is fresh produce! In our case, Jesus Center participants work on the farm to learn marketable job skills.
Harvesting Hope Membership Includes:
Fresh, locally sourced produce twice monthly.
A newsletter with farm updates and recipes to inspire delicious meals using our specific crops.
All sustainably farmed, locally grown produce.
Costs:
$45 per month for bi-monthly distribution with no annual fees!

Our boxes contain more than healthy food! Each box includes farm news highlighting recipes to inspire members to cook up delicious meals using our specific crops. Members also bring their own box to fill with crops of their choice that they personally select. Occasionally special bonuses are in the boxes that are donated to us such as Lundberg Family Farms rice and California Olive Ranch olive oil. It’s a bargain and supports a truly great cause!

The farm supports between 8-12 interns each year. Participant internships create an opportunity to learn about agriculture and the creation of marketable job skills. The farm provides a beautiful venue to encourage healing relationships with themselves, God, and our community. Successful program graduates are recommended for further assistance programs such as housing and other job opportunities.
The farm generates between 12-15 different crops throughout the year.
Produce is donated by the farm to be used in every meal at the Jesus Center kitchen.
All produce grown on the farm is organic and grown locally!
